Ralph Young (Ralph Stuart Young) was born on September 19, 1888 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 10, 1913 for the New York Yankees. In 1915, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 0 home runs and 31 RBI. Young played for the New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that Ralph Young's best season was 1920, when he hit for a .291 average.
