Ralph Garr (Ralph Allen Garr) was born on December 12, 1945 in Monroe, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1968 for the Atlanta Braves. In 1971, his rookie year, he hit .343 with 9 home runs and 44 RBI. Garr played for the Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox and California Angels over the course of his 12 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Ralph Garr's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1973, when he stole 35 bases, hit for a .299 average and knocked in 55 runs. However, others believe that it was 1974, when he stole 26 bases, hit for a .353 average and knocked in 54 runs.
