Ralph Fife

Ralph Fife (Ralph Donald Fife) was born on January 26, 1920 in Canton, Ohio. He attended Canton McKinley High School and was All State Ohio first team. Fife attended the University of Pittsburgh playing for famous College and Professional Coach Jock Sutherland. He was first team All American Selection at guard in 1941 and played in the East-West Shriners Classic that year. Fife made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 3 year career. After his Pro Career he coached sequentially at Turtle Creek High School in Pittsburgh. University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh. Chartiers Valley High School in Pittsburgh. His overall coaching record for all schools was 184, 52, 12.
Most people believe that 1946 was Ralph Fife's best year.
