Raiders Shopping Porter

Porter wants out

The Oakland Raiders are actively shopping WR Jerry Porter. Ex-Raider Lincoln Kennedy told a Bay Area radio station Porter wanted out of Oakland, partially because of shouting matches with Fred Biletnikoff and Art Shell this offseason. Porter has also told a local newspaer that he wants to be dealt. If the Raiders trade and/or cut Porter they will take a large salary cap hit.

The Packers would be smart as hell to swing a deal for Porter with their lack of depth at WR.

Being a Raider fan, I think it's awful that Porter might get dealt. He's truly a great player.

Um, "truly great players" usually notch 1,000 receiving yards in a season at least once. Just saying. At any rate, I think a change in scenery would do Porter good.
