Raaanndy Moss (Patriots Update - September 17)

by False Prophet

So, after a couple week hiatus because I was lazy, Patriots update is back.

Lets start with last week.

Blah blah blah...Patriots Cheat....Blah Blah Blah....take away their rings....Blah Blah Blah........Belichick is overrated. That's all I heard this past weak from all of you patriots haters. You know who you are, and you know your jealous that your team isn't the premier team in the NFL (or if your ManRays, you're upset that your Suns prediction failed, and that the D-Rays aren't quite where you hoped they would be). Belichick was unresponsive all week to any sort of Video recording questions, and you could tell with how they played on Sunday.

They showed up to play, and opened with a touchdown pass from Brady to Watson and a 7-0 lead. On the chargers first play from Scrimmage, Rivers is intercepted for Rosevelt Colvin, and it was Pats ball in the red zone just like that again. Stephen Gostkowski missed a 41 yard Field Goal that would have made it 10-0, but alas, it was chargers ball again.

On the Patriots third drive, Brady looked to Moss multiple times en route to a Brady to Moss Touchdown that made it 14-0. After a couple of plays and two first downs, the Chargers looked like they had gotten into a grove, when on a first and 10, Rosevelt Colvin picked up a fumble for the patriots, and the first quarter ended 14-0 Patriots.

After a couple of tradeoff drives, the patriots drove it deep, but were unable to get the touchdown, but with a Gostkowski Kick, it was 17-0 Patriots. About half way through the second quarter, Adalius Thomas made a huge interception and brought it back almost 60 yards for a touchdown, and it was 24-0 patriots.

In the final drive of the first half, the Pats drove deep, but Brady showed that he was human, and gave up an interception at the end of the half. 24-0 Patriots

The Bolts scored for the first time in the third quarter about halfway in on a swing pass to Lorenzo Neal. The Pats responded with a long drive and a Moss Touchdown again to make it 31-7 Patriots, and that's how the 3rd quarter ended. 31-7 Patriots'

The 4th quarter was uneventful, the teams traded touchdowns, and the game finnished 38-14 Patriots.

Thoughts on the Game

  • The Patriots dominated the game from start to finnish, offense and defense. Note to Rodger Goodell: Crown their Asses all ready.
  • What happened to the Chargers? I thought they were supposed to be a premier team. It was an embarassing show for them last night
  • LT is overrated. Check his stats so far if you don't believe me. He's got 50+carries, and barely 100 yards.

Up Next

Pats vs. Bills, Sunday, 9/23/07. Not an interesting matchup. Marshawn Lynch is a minor threat, but the Pats should win.

FInally, ESPNews is reporting that Belichick has signed a contract extension through at least 2013. The best coach in the league is ours for at least 6 more years pats fans!!!
