RIP Dick Nolan

First Bill Walsh now this. It's truly a tough year in the Bay Area.

Besides being current head coach Mike Nolans father the elder Nolan was a player and a head coach. Dick Nolan was the first coach to lead the 49ers to a division title.

Nolan had missed practice both Friday and Saturday to be with his ailing father.

Nolan plans on coaching on Monday Night against the Seahawks in a game that will certainly take on new meaning.

Hopefully the 49ers can put on a magical performance akin to that of Brett Farve a couple of years ago.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Nolan family.

R.I.P. Dick. Did you know that Kanye West's mother died yesterday? She was 58 years old, that's 17 years younger than what Dick Nolan was. Hey, wasn't Bill Walsh 75 years old when he died this summer, too?
