To Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf (the CBS announcers covering the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game today): If you would shut your traps for fifteen seconds and actually watch the replays of a play, you might be able to shed some halfway intelligent light on the situation.
Kansas City's QB, Huard, was picked off by Troy Polamalu. Polamalu then returned the ball down the left sideline with KC's RB Larry Johnson in hot pursuit.
Polamula's mop of hair was flowing in the Pittsburgh wind, looking quite nasty as usual when Johnson pulled him down from behind by the hair, which, as the announcers noted is completely legal by NFL rules. The ref then called an unsportsmanlike conduct on Johnson and the announcers got into mental connundrum trying to determine why the call was made.
LOOK AT THE REPLAY, "experts". Johnson pulled Polamalu's hair after he was tackled and continued to do so while Polamalu was getting up... this IS an infraction. The stupid announcers never looked at the play without running their mouths and therefore made the entire network audience a tad bit more stupid with the babbling that they were forced to hear.
