Pujols looks up to Bonds

Actual quote from Albert Pujols:
- “He’s doing something in baseball that’s going to be tough to accomplish,” Pujols said. “If he can get to (Aaron’s record), that’s unbelievable. That’s the guy everybody needs to look up to.”
I'm not here to create a debate over Bonds. I want to talk about Pujols. Is this quote lip service or does he actually think this way of Bonds? Should we give his words as a big-league player more weight and maybe look at Bonds differently? Albert's words suggest that he's separating the baseball skills and the steroid use. Again, not defending nor attacking Bonds, I just found this quote to be kind of odd considering what's going on. Maybe I'm tripping.
