Pug Griffin (Francis Arthur Griffin) was born on April 24, 1896 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He made his Major League debut on July 27, 1917 for the Philadelphia Athletics. Griffin played for the Philadelphia Athletics and New York Giants over the course of his 2 year career.
