Prior's Problems

8
Vote

In what has become an annual ritual, the Chicago Cubs announced that pitcher Mark Prior could miss Opening Day. Last year it was his right elbow; this year it's his right shoulder. Prior had not made an exhibition start this March in Spring Training, and was scheduled to have an MRI exam in Los Angeles on Thursday. He joins Kerry Wood on the list of "Cubs pitchers with shoulder problems," which leaves the Cubs beginning the 2006 season without their top two pitchers.

It wouldn't be March without at least one Cubbie pitcher on the DL.
