Born on May 17, 1952 in Darillo, Nicaragua, Porfi Altamirano (Porfirio (Ramirez) Altamirano) played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 3 year career. Altamirano broke into the bigs on May 9, 1982 with the Philadelphia Phillies.
