Pop Ivy (Lee Frank Ivy) was born on January 25, 1916 in Skiatook, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Skiatook (OK), Ivy attended the University of Oklahoma. Ivy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1941 was Pop Ivy's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
