Pooley Hubert (Allison Thomas S. Hubert) was born on April 6, 1901 in Meridian, Mississippi. After going to high school at Meridian (MS) and Wentworth (MO) Military Academy, Hubert attended the University of Alabama. Hubert made his professional debut in the AFLG in 1926 with the New York Yankees. He played for the New York Yankees for his entire 1 year career.
