Still going to go with the Pistons. With the Celts going into game 7's with both the Hawks and the Cavs, the Pistons being a VERY good away team, and the Celtics very bad at away games, I'm going to say that the Pistons beat them in 6. They will have a rematch against the Spurs and defeat them (this time).
All four of them have a VERY good shot at winning it though. The Lakers and Celtics have been the talk of the entire season. I'm sure a lot of people (not including the Boston fans) would like to see the Lakers/Celtics series come back alive once again. However, I don't see either one of them advancing to the NBA finals.
You just predicted a Spurs-Pistons Finals rematch (I agree) and that thud you heard was NBA Commissioner David Stern passing out and hitting his head on the floor with the idea of trying to sell America on this match-up once again.
I actually didn't mind that Spurs-Pistons series a few years back. Some of the games were lopsided, but the last three games were good, and I liked the fact that those two teams were actually the 2 best teams in basketball duking it out over 7 games. Now, this year, I think the 2 best are still the Lakers and Celtics (despite the legendary road foibles, how do you win 66 games and not be one of the 2 best teams in the league?), so I think that and the historical rivalry makes it the ideal Finals matchup.
I gotta agree with you one thing, Davis: with 66 wins, you're definitely one of, if not the best team in the league. However, the regular season is over, and the Celts may have nothing to show for it (just like the Mavs did against the Warriors not very long ago). Just as I predicted before the playoffs started, the Celtics are now up 3-2 in the series. With the Pistons being probably the best away team in the league (both in the playoffs and in the regular season), I predicted (and still predict) that the Pistons will win games 6 and 7.
Call me a pessimist, Davis. Go ahead.
Oh, I'm positive Detroit wins Game 6. However, you can't doubt the home cookin' for Game 7 after last night's performance (Ray Allen finally played like Ray Allen!). Either way, whoever wins is going to have their hands full with LA...
I'll definitely agree with you on that. LA now needs only one more wing against the reigning ('07) champs and they're in the NBA finals.
I just hope the East bring it back... whether it's Detroit or Boston.

PIERCE AND RADMONOVIC FAVORS BOSTON BUT RAD HAS HEIGHT ADVANTAGE AND IS A THREE POINT SHOOTER WHICH MEANS HE WILL ATTRACT PIERCE OUT OF THE PAINT AND HE WILL NO LONGER BE A SECONDARY DEFENDER
