I'm going to say the Red Sox; Beckett, Matsuzaka, Shilling (if healthy), Lester, Wakefield, Buchholz, it is hard to beat that. They have an ace, veterans, highly touted young pitchers, a solid all-around rotation... The Padres have the second best rotation, even though they are not an option; Peavy (one of the best two pitchers in baseball), Greg Maddux (one of the best pitchers of all-time), Chris Young (a solid pitcher, espically at home), Justin Germano (who had a decent break-out season), and Prior and Wolf could either turn their misfortuanes from the last few seasons around.

At the end of this season, none of these teams will have the best two rotations in the majors. The Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees will have the best rotations around...

Take NYC, Pettite and Mussina may or may not be there, but if they are, they will be fighting each other for the fifth spot in the rotation along with Igawa (hahaha). Wang is a decent number one, but a very talented number two. But Ian Kennedy, Joba Chamberlain, and Phillip Hughes are going be the best trio of starters in the majors. Kind of like Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz in Atlanta all that time ago... I wonder how that worked out?

Same thing with Tampa Bay, Scott Kazmir has developed into a formitable number one, James Shields came out of seemingly no-where to become a great pitcher. Matt Garza has been a highly reguarded prospect for a while now and is just scratching the surface of what he is capable of doing. Then prospects Jacob McGee and Wade Davis, who are among the best young arms left in the minors, will be rolling over the show soon enough. And David Price, last year's number one overall pick in the amatuer draft, has the presence, poise, and stuff to be the ace for years to come...

Just wait... you'll see

I think the Blue Jays needed to be included in this list. Halladay (3.71 era, 1.24 whip), Burnett (3.75 era, 1.19 whip), McGowan (4.08 era, 1.22 whip), Marcum (4.13 era, 1.25 whip) and Litsch (3.81 era from your 5th starter and 1.37 whip) not to shabby
