The worst excuse for a Sports Periodical is:

ESPN: The Mag
Sports Illustrated
Sporting News
Sport Magazine (That's why it's no longer being printed)
Who reads paper? That's what the Armchair is for, dummy.

God bless ArmChair GM. All I have in my sports section is half a page of baseball, half a page of basketball, and I don't know where the hell football is. I think they decided to cancel the American Football part of sports because they think football shouldn't be considered "FOOTBALL".

ESPN the Magazine is great for the outhouse. It replaced the JCPenney catalog at my shack in Applachia.

Sport magazine may be gone, but it was the undisputed king.
