Poland beats Brazil!

Poland 1 Brazil 0: What an upset! Despite playing with 10 men for over 60 minutes, Poland stuns Brazil in front of over 55,000 at Olympic Stadium in Montreal. The lone goal came on a stunning free kick by Grzegorz Krychowiak in the 23rd minute. Brazil just looked flat throughout the game, and couldn't capitalize with the one man advantage. Since the U-20's began, Brazil had lost only one opening game, and now they have two.

Brazil is on the wane. England managed to draw 1-1 with them, for goodness sake! I don't make Brazil favourites for the next World Cup at the moment. I know there's still three years, but it's not looking good for them.

Brazil is probably the Yankees of soccer nowadays. If you beat them in the playoffs, everyone goes crazy. Brazil has a lot of talent, but so do a lot of other teams. Argentina's, IMO, is underrated, but won't win in a very long while, England's is really good, so is Spain's, and Italy's, and France's as well even though one of the best players I've ever seen (Zidane) is gone.

The one plus about the next World Cup is that it is a neutral stage. European teams usually when WCs in Europe, while South American teams win them in the Americas. We may get a sense of who is really the best.

When South Korea managed to score two late goals to mount a serious comeback in their second match, you know that the Brazilians are not in their best form. No, I don't mean that the South Korean team is bad. Just look at the Brazil's defence in the final 10 minutes. It was a complete mess.
