Who suggested we use OPS+? Wasn't me. Chew on this: J.J. Redick made only 41% of his shots last year. But, sadly, in bizarro world we can't rely on, you know, objective facts like his numbers... The only tool we can use to evaluate him are HUMAN EYES, and his jumper sure looks silky smooth. And, man, it looked downright awesome at Dook. So, with no stats to confirm that he is, in fact, not good at making shots, I guess we'll just have to bow down to the unmitigated hawt-shooting-ness that is... J.J. Redick. In bizarro world. With no stats.

My eyes also watch him defile the idea of "defense". And the Fresh Fish look on his face tells me more than ANY stat can...

I'm not saying "stats don't matter", but I will say they "only matter after the fact"
