Now, as a gay man, and a sports lover, and a sports mens lover, I have a question. Do you think that a lot of sports fans, the straight ones (grrrr) think naughty thoughts about their favorite sports stars? Then men grapple, twist, sweat and fight and I find it all highly erotic. Surely this can't be due solely to my sexualty. Sooooo, what do yaaaalll think?

I agree. Often times I'll notice when an athlete is extraordinarily ripped, but those thoughts don't ever develop into anything sexual. I'm usually too preoccupied with following my fantasy teams and any wagers I may have made to watch the game as anything more than just a game.

Maybe you should address this directly to Derek Jeter's fans...

Sex is the Sport for all seasons, sure... But believe it or not, some people like sports for the SPORT of it. In fact MOST people engage in fandom to connect to the journey of the hero, the winners; to fill a void in their own self-percieved inadequacies. (Maybe that's why I don't mind being a Devil Rays fan)

There's more to being entertained than having your loins tickled by the image of people you will never meet, let alone encounter to fulfill fantasies with.

There's way more to life than chasing an orgasm. Shift from lizard brain to mammal brain every once in a while and see the beauty of humanity for it's sake, not your own sake. There's a BIG difference between sexy and erotic, my friend....

So yes, I'm pretty sure it is due directly to your personal "sexuality". (with a side dish of 'lack of personal fulfillment' and/or 'utter immaturity' it appears...)

Heheheh As a girl that loves sports for being what they are, it certainly doesn't hurt when you look like Grady Sizemore, but to me, they're just nice to look at and an added bonus to what they do on the field, nothing more.
