Playing With The Enemy By Gary W. Moore

After proving himself as a baseball phenom in the 1940's, Gene Moore entered World War II as a soldier. When later stationed at a prison camp he taught German U-boat prisoners how to play baseball, and faced a field of broken dreams thereafter. The foreward is written by Jim Morris (baseball player that the movie "The Rookie" was based upon). The book is written by Gene Moore's son. Excellent book, excellent story, excellent author. A book well worth reading. Soon to be a major motion picture.
