Pinky Pittenger (Clarke Alonzo Pittenger) was born on February 24, 1899 in Hudson, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1921 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1922, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 0 home runs and 7 RBI. Pittenger played for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Pinky Pittenger's best season was 1929, when he hit for a .295 average.
