Pierce Saves Another Day

The Boston Celtics captain Paul Pierce, after breaking a franchise record by scoring more than thirty points six games in a row, returned to heroics last night with 36 points and 4 assists in the Celtics' 106-101 victory over the Denver Nuggets in the TD Banknorth Garden last night. Despite Pierce's recent heroics, the Celtics remain mired in third place in their division, and are nine games under .500.

The Celts should have traded him. He can bring a fool's ransom and let's face it, the Celtics can finish well below .500 without him. It's time to rebuild!
