Phil Weintraub

Phil Weintraub (Philip Weintraub) was born on October 12, 1907 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1933 for the New York Giants. In 1937, his rookie year, he hit .274 with 3 home runs and 21 RBI. Weintraub played for the New York Giants, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that Phil Weintraub's best season was 1944, when he hit for a .316 average and knocked in 77 runs.
