Phil Olsen (Phillip Vernor Olsen) was born on April 26, 1948 in Logan, Utah. After going to high school at Logan (UT), Olsen attended Utah State University. Olsen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1971 was Phil Olsen's best year.
