Phil Odle (Phillip Morris Odle) was born on November 23, 1942 in Elgin, Illinois. After going to high school at Elgin (IL), Odle attended Brigham Young University. Odle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1968 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1968 was Phil Odle's best year.
