Phil Nevin (Phillip Joseph Nevin) was born on January 19, 1971 in Fullerton, California. He made his Major League debut on June 11, 1995 for the Houston Astros. In 1995, his rookie year, he hit .179 with 2 home runs and 13 RBI. Nevin played for the Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, Anaheim Angels, San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Phil Nevin's best season was 2001, when he slugged 41 home runs, hit for a .306 average and knocked in 126 runs.
