Phil Mckinnely (Philip Byron McKinnely) was born on July 8, 1954 in Oakland, California. After going to high school at St. Mary's (Berkeley, CA), Mckinnely attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Mckinnely made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1976 was Phil Mckinnely's best year.
