Phil Martinovich

Phil Martinovich (Philip Joseph Martinovich) was born on February 9, 1915 in Diamond Springs, California. After going to high school at El Dorado (Placentia, CA), Martinovich attended the University of Pacific. Martinovich made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Detroit Lions. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Martinovich also played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers the entire time.
