Phil LaPorta (Philip Francis LaPorta, Jr.) was born on May 4, 1952 in Oceanside, New York. After going to high school at Central (Valley Stream, NY), LaPorta attended Pennsylvania State University. LaPorta made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints for his entire 2 year career.
