Phil Handler (Philip Jacob Handler) was born on July 21, 1908 in Fort Worth, Texas. After going to high school at Central (Fort Worth, TX), Handler attended Texas Christian University. Handler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 7 year career.
