Phil Geier (Philip Louis Geier) was born on November 3, 1876 in Washington, D.C.. He made his Major League debut on August 17, 1896 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1897, his rookie year, he hit .278 with 1 home run and 35 RBI. Geier played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers and Boston Beaneaters over the course of his 5 year career.
