Phil Gagliano (Philip Joseph Gagliano) was born on December 27, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1963 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1965, his rookie year, he hit .240 with 8 home runs and 53 RBI. Gagliano played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Phil Gagliano's best season was 1965, when he knocked in 53 runs.
