Phil Cancik (Phillip Canick) was born on April 19, 1957 in South Bend, Indiana. After going to high school at Scottsdale (AZ), Cancik attended Northern Arizona University. Cancik made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the New York Giants. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1981 was Phil Cancik's best year.
