Phil Bucklew (Philip Bucklew) was born on December 11, 1914 in Columbus, Ohio. Bucklew attended Xavier University. Bucklew made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Cleveland Rams. He played for the Cleveland Rams for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1937 was Phil Bucklew's best year.
