Phil Bennett (Philip Bennett) was born on February 14, 1935. After going to high school at Carrick (Pittsburgh, PA), Bennett attended the University of Miami. Bennett made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Boston Patriots. He played for the Boston Patriots for his entire 1 year career.
