Peter King and the Pats

To my nemesis, Peter King, who believes the Patriots are the only team that can take an “us against the world” approach to the NFL season. After supporting the Patriots through all their discrepancies and holier-than-thou attitude regarding not getting enough respect, this Boston homer has the gall to say the Colts are not allowed to take the same approach. Why the hell not?
They’re the Super Bowl Champions who no one thinks will get past the Patriots. They have the best statistical quarterback over the last few years in Peyton Manning, two of the best wide outs in the league in Harrison and Wayne, not to mention players like Addai, Clark, Freeney, and Sanders. They were questioned before the year started after losing so many players in free agency after the Super Bowl. I’ll admit it, I questioned them too. But now? What’s the deal? Is it just because Tony Dungy doesn’t believe in running up the score like Bill Belichick? They’re ridiculously efficient and effective with a bruising running game and an offensive coordinator for a quarterback.
And they’ll be ready. Come late in the season when the Patriots are throwing the rock around the field because they can’t run, and everyone wonders “what’s wrong”, don’t say I didn’t tell you. Just like Brady will NOT break Manning’s records of single season touchdowns or passer rating.
