Peter Dawkins
[edit] BiographyPeter Miller Dawkins, born on March 8, 1938 in Royal Oak, Mich., was a star running back and Heisman Trophy winner for Army in 1958. Dawkins, who was also accepted to Yale, decided to attend the United States Military Academy instead. He won high honors, serving as Brigade Commander, President of his Class, Captain of the football team, and a "Star Man" in the top 5% of his class academically. He was the only cadet ever to hold all four at the same time. He opted not to play professionally, however, and instead attended Oxford University and then spent 24 years as an officer in the Army.
