Pete Wathen (Chapeze Wathen) was born on May 15, 1903 in Owensboro, Kentucky. After going to high school at Owensboro (KY), Wathen attended the University of Kentucky. Wathen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Evansville Crimson Giants. He played for the Evansville Crimson Giants for his entire 1 year career.
