Pete Stinchcomb (Gaylord Roscoe Stinchcomb) was born on June 24, 1895 in Sycamore, Ohio. After going to high school at Fostoria (OH), Stinchcomb attended Ohio State University. Stinchcomb made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Chicago Staleys. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Staleys the entire time. Stinchcomb also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Louisville Colonels, Columbus Tigers and Chicago Bears over the course of his 3 year NFL career.
