Pete Owens (Floyd Russell Owens) was born on February 11, 1917 in Littlefield, Texas. After going to high school at Littlefield (TX), Owens attended Texas Technical University. Owens made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
