Pete Filson
[edit] Biography
Born on September 28, 1958 in Darby, Pennsylvania, Pete Filson (William Peter Filson) played for the Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 7 year career. Filson broke into the bigs on May 15, 1982 with the Minnesota Twins, and put up a 3.40 ERA in 90 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Pete Filson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1984, when he posted a 4.10 ERA and struck out 59 batters. However, others believe that it was 1983, when he posted a 3.40 ERA.
