Pete Duranko (Peter Nicholas Duranko) was born on December 15, 1943 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Bishop McCort (Johnstown, PA), Duranko attended the University of Notre Dame. Duranko made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 3 years, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time. Duranko also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time.

Most people believe that 1969 was Pete Duranko's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
