Born on November 5, 1900 in Athens, Texas, Pete Donohue (Peter Joseph Donohue) played for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Giants, Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 12 year career. Donohue broke into the bigs on July 1, 1921 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 3.35 ERA in 118.1 innings pitched in 1921, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Pete Donohue's best season was 1925, when he posted a 3.08 ERA, won 21 games and struck out 78 batters.
