Pete Coscarart (Peter Joseph Coscarart) was born on June 16, 1913 in Escondido, California. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1938 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 4 home runs and 43 RBI. Coscarart played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 9 year career.
