Pete Conway

Born on October 30, 1866 in Burmont, Pennsylvania, Pete Conway (Peter J. Conway) played for the Buffalo Bisons, Kansas City Cowboys, Detroit Wolverines and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 5 year career. Conway broke into the bigs on August 10, 1885 with the Buffalo Bisons, and put up a 4.67 ERA in 210 innings pitched in 1885, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Pete Conway's best season was 1888, when he posted a 2.26 ERA, won 30 games and struck out 176 batters.
