Born on December 21, 1942 in Jackson, Tennessee, Pete Charton (Frank Lane Charton) played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 1 year career. Charton broke into the bigs on April 19, 1964 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 5.26 ERA in 65 innings pitched in 1964, his rookie year.
