Born on April 22, 1912 in Hazel Green, Kentucky, Pete Center (Marvin Earl Center) played for the Cleveland Indians for his entire 4 year career. Center broke into the bigs on September 11, 1942 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 3.99 ERA in 85.2 innings pitched in 1945, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Pete Center's best season was 1945, when he posted a 3.99 ERA.
