Pete Castiglione (Peter Paul Castiglione) was born on February 13, 1921 in Greenwich, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on September 10, 1947 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1949, his rookie year, he hit .268 with 6 home runs and 43 RBI. Castiglione played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 8 year career.
