Pete Broberg
[edit] Biography
Born on March 2, 1950 in West Palm Beach, Florida, Pete Broberg (Peter Sven Broberg) played for the Washington Senators, Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 8 year career. Broberg broke into the bigs on June 20, 1971 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 3.47 ERA in 124.2 innings pitched in 1971, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Pete Broberg's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1975, when he posted a 4.13 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 100 batters. However, others believe that it was 1972, when he posted a 4.29 ERA and struck out 133 batters.
