Pete Bove (Pete Anthony Bove, Jr.) was born on September 21, 1906 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Rutland (VT) and Somerville (MA), Bove attended Holy Cross College. Bove made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Newark Tornadoes. He played for the Newark Tornadoes for his entire 1 year career.
